Lakeshore Fitness Land & Water Studio is housed in downtown Marquette just a hop, jump & a skip from Lake Superior. Offering small-group training classes not only in its boutique studio, but also on the water. You heard that right! Group training classes outside, in the fresh air, on our beautiful Lake Superior. Classes are kept small which allows trainers to get to know clients personally and customize classes to better meet their needs.
TRX Group Suspension, Piloxing, SurfSET & Yoga are all offered, six days a week. “We offer classes throughout the day to try and accommodate everyone’s busy schedules. We can even add classes per request” says Tina Reno, Managing Director/coach at Lakeshore Fitness.
Most everyone can agree that Marquette Summers are pretty magical. Being able to take advantage of the beautiful scenery is one of Lakeshore Fitness’ main passions. “Getting outside & engaging with clients in an alternative class setting brings a really different vibe to everyone’s workout,” says Grace Petschauer, Assistant Managing Director/coach at Lakeshore Fitness.
Lakeshore Fitness understands that motivation can be exasperating when it comes to your fitness journey, being able to change not only the class set up but location is just one of the major perks of Lakeshore Fitness.
Classes take place in a fun, welcoming, nonjudgmental studio that allows clients to feel 100% comfortable when they enter. “Taking the first steps of engaging in fitness classes can be a big decision, and we understand that as coaches. We want every one that enters our doors to feel the Lakeshore love,” says Reno.
Stand Up Paddle (SUP) boarding has taken the U.P. by storm. Lakeshore Fitness is equipped to take out a never before paddler, or an experienced paddler. Introductory classes can help you with basic paddling techniques, getting to your feet, and turns. Experienced paddlers can attend classes that help improve paddling skills, conquer big waves and build overall paddling confidence. For those that want to be on the lake and still enjoy a good circuit training Lakeshore Fitness has something for you; PaddleFit. This class will challenge your balance and make you work just a little harder for those push ups, mountain climbers and squats all while trying to keep yourself center on your board. Can you feel the burn? We also offer tours at a location of your choosing and lighted night paddles allowing you to see 20 feet beneath your board and even spot several fish.
Lakeshore Fitness’ small class setting allows trainers to really engage with clients. Additional classes are geared towards their desires and needs. Trainers are in the process of becoming certified pre & postnatal coaches. This is a never before seen course that allows instructors to learn foundational information for working with pregnant and postpartum women. Pregnant or postpartum women are going through constant changes and may not feel like themselves. Every woman’s journey is different, and most coaches have little or no training on how to effectively coach them, until now.
Lakeshore Fitness coaches are learning for you, to answer your questions, and to provide appropriate advice. “Being a part of Lakeshore Fitness allows instructors to engage with clients in new and meaningful ways, from class design, alternative settings and advancing certifications. Fitness is dynamic and our classes are designed to be flexible.” says Grace Petschauer, Lakeshore Fitness Assistant Managing Director.
